Is my event too small (or too big) for Conversation Starter?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your event. For pure matchmaking events (think buyer/seller or investor/startup), 50 participants is enough.

For more general events where 1:1 meetings are just part of the programme, we recommend 100 participants or more.

Conversation Starter scales up to 5000 participants, and works for any format: a few hours of networking, a full day, or a multi-day conference.

Does Conversation Starter integrate with ticketing platforms?

Yes! Conversation Starter integrates seamlessly with popular ticketing platforms, including EntryTickets, IDLoom, PassPass, Weezevent, Ticket Tailor, Eventbrite, Ti.to, and more.

That means less work for you as an organiser: no manually uploading or syncing participant data. When someone registers for your event, they can create their networking profile in the same flow: everything flows into Conversation Starter automatically.

You control who gets in. Events can be protected with a password or restricted to a guestlist, so only invited participants can join. Your event also won't show up in search engines.

As per GDPR guidelines, Conversation Starter has been designed with a privacy-first approach. No user data is stored without consent, and participants can view, update and delete their own data at any time. More details in our privacy policy.

And if you want to go further: after your event, we can send you a full export of your data and then permanently remove all of it from our databases. You keep everything, we keep nothing.

Do participants need to download an app?

No! Conversation Starter works inside the web browser: nothing to download or install.

That's a deliberate choice. Many people skip the networking when they have to install an app first, especially for a one-day event.

Conversation Starter simply texts participants a link when the event starts, and they're in with one click. More participants, more meetings.
